Dashboard explained

Your financial KPIs at a glance: runway, MRR, VAT headroom, and what's coming due.

Key metrics

Runway — how many months until you run out of cash at your current burn rate. Updated from your costs and revenue.

MRR (Monthly Recurring Revenue) — the total of all subscriptions that renew each month. Excludes one-off invoices.

Monthly P&L — your net profit/loss this month based on invoices issued and costs logged.

VAT headroom — how much turnover you have before hitting your jurisdiction's VAT registration threshold (UK rolling 12-month, EU calendar-year). Tap to see your full VAT status.

Alerts

Red badges highlight:

Trial ending — upgrade to keep working.
Past-due invoices — clients haven't paid.
VAT threshold approaching — 80%+ of threshold, time to plan.
Compliance deadline — a return or filing is due soon.

By month/year toggle

Switch the Monthly / Yearly toggle to see:

Monthly: this month's revenue, costs, P&L, and 12-month runway projection.
Yearly: annual totals and next year's projected P&L (if you've set up recurring invoices).

Get set up checklist

New users see a checklist guiding you through first-time setup: 1. Add a client 2. Issue your first invoice 3. Log a cost 4. Import a bank statement 5. Check your VAT headroom

Once done, the checklist disappears (you can re-enable it under Help).

Drill-down

Click any KPI (revenue, costs, VAT headroom) to see the detail:

Revenue: list of invoices, marked paid/pending.
Costs: list of costs by category.
VAT: turnover breakdown and threshold progress.
Compliance: next due dates per company.

Multi-entity view (accountants)

If you run a practice, the dashboard shows:

Portfolio runway — weighted across all active clients.
Total MRR — sum of all client subscriptions.
Compliance alert — practice-wide "what's due" list (your daily hook).

Switch to a client's dashboard by opening their entity.
